R452A gas is ideal for new systems and as a replacement gas for R404A in low- and medium-temperature cooling solutions. Its GWP is 2,141, which is 45% lower than that of R404A (3,922). It is also a suitable replacement gas for R507A systems.
Development of replacement refrigerants
The refrigeration sector is developing replacement and new blends as a result of the F-gas Regulation as well as various environmental factors. In addition to developments in refrigerants, the change in the field can be seen late in a system’s life cycle, at which point maintenance and repair measures are subject to more detailed cost scrutiny.
