The GWP of R513A refrigerant gas is 573, which is a reduction of approximately 56% compared with the GWP value of R134a. For this reason alone, R513A is an excellent replacement for R134a. In addition, the refrigerants are essentially the same in terms of power and capacity. The transition requires very few changes to the system and oils.
The strengths of R513A also include energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
R513A refrigerant gas applications and use
R513A refrigerant gas is suitable for, and already used in, for example, medium-temperature circuits of hybrid gas systems, commercial and industrial DX cooling, water chillers, air conditioning, heat pumps and ice stadiums.
It can be used in new equipment and retrofitted to existing systems. It replaces R134a and also R401A, R401B and R409A as a retrofit solution.
