R454C gas is a low-GWP (146) HFO refrigerant. It has the most suitable properties to replace R404A in medium- and low-temperature direct-expansion applications. It offers performance similar to the refrigerants it is designed to replace. This makes its application to new equipment simple and economical.
R454C falls within the GWP threshold of 150 in F-gas Regulation 517/2014 and within ecodesign requirements (Ecodesign Directive (Directive 2009/125/EC)). It is particularly suitable for commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
